Here is a cheat sheet to all things Rise Guys!
P1's - what are they? The most loyal group of insane TRG fans, they come to all TRG events, they...well go here, read the rules and sign up! - http://p1.newrock933.com/
Tickle It - it means everything, hello, goodbye, replaces the F word nicely as well. We hope to tickle your funny bone and ladies, other parts. It's our Aloha.
"It Is Good" - a recording from the boss Mark Hendrix in 2004. He says it a lot about everything-food, movies, football games, just not JLN's phone scams.
"Call The Law" - it's call 911, but in good 'ole boy terms.
"Firemun" - aka Paige's husband. He's a first responder. He used to come on a lot, now she won't let him.
"Jimmy" - Nine's real name is James, sometimes we call him Jimmy Jack.
"Diddy" - 99.9% of the time referring to Mattman's late father Phil. As a young redneck child, Matt called his Daddy, Diddy.
"Papa Neal" - JLN's 80-something grandpa. Not to be confused with Coach Neal (JLN's dad & Matt's high school football coach)
"Smokey & The Bandit It" - When Matt asks Nine to Smokey & The Bandit It, he plays the theme from the movie ("Eastbound & Down" by Jerry Reed) so they can talk off mic without taking a break. Usually in mid conversation, usually making sure they can mention someone or something on air. The idea comes from Bubba The Love Sponge (btls.com) who does something similar on his show with the Price Is Right theme.
"The Nazee" - referring to The Web Nazi, Tracy West, who when she made her Facebook fan page wasn't allowed to use "Nazi" so she used "Nazee"
"Eatwood" - referring to Entercom sales guy Ed Atwood, whose email address is Eatwood@
"Moose" - Nine's mom's nickname
"Mayyyyyyyyyyyyreeeeeeeeee" - (sound it out) That's Mattman's mom Mary or at least how Matt says it.
"AIDS" - Jeff doesn't have it.....anymore.
"BAD Night" - It's how P1's spell out or say Big Ass Draft Night - it's our OMG.
"OyyyyyyyyYo!" - (again sound it out) it's the lesbian mating call, how manly lesbians greet each other, and also how P1's can communicate to each other "hey look at that big manly lookin' woman." You'll here it a lot in Asheville.
"My nerves are shot!" - When Maffew says it he means he's frazzled or stressed.
Anita - FatBoy's wife
Katie - Mattman's wife
"Nooooooo uh uh" - a soundbyte we play a lot. It's JLN's grandpa Papa Neal saying it from a previous phone scam.
"That's Dip!" - a soundbyte we play of P1 Jarhead. When Matt asked him what was in his mouth, he said That's Dip!
TSL Question of the day - In the last segment of every show, Nine asks a question from that day's show. P1's text or call in with the answer to win stuff. TSL in radio jargon means time spent listening. But just like we exposed what a P1 is, we do the same with TSL.
Dirty Thursday - on Thursdays one of us, usually JLN, has to eat something gross, stand naked somewhere, or generally do something painful or embarassing.
"Oh Maffew" - what Matt's dad would say when he was asked something embarassing by Matt on the show. Usually followed with "my lord!"
Angel - Mattman's sister whom he claims is loved more by their mother.
Grace - Mattman's daughter, she's 9 and has her own game "TRG Theater" on the show.
137-10-2 - That's Matt all-time record in the game "Who Can Matt Beat Now?"
Poe Mill - that's the mill village that Matt & Nine lived in here in Greenville. Matt has it tattooed on his right forearm.
Dump button - we run the show on an 8 second delay in case someone says a bad word. Nine controls it which is bad because he's slow, yet good because he's the cleanest filter on the show. In fact, if Maffew wants to tweet or facebook something risque' he runs it by Nine first.
Sound FX - The Nooooo Uh Uh's, the She's Not A Christian, the farts, the smoker laugh, etc. are all ran by Mattman.
